Ways to Promote Phoenix? - Phoenix Freeshard

Since launch is on the horizon, what are some ways we can promote the server?

I am hoping we can get a launch trailer for the server that we can help promote. Apparently some players discovered phoenix through this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nS__d6XAbnA

Hoping we can get the word out more. Phoenix has potential to be one of the best mmo experiences ever.

What do you mean by "horizon"? Launch could be 6 months or more away and until all the features are in and working we won't know what type of server Phoenix will be.

I think it is important to promote the server during all phases of beta. I know there are lots players who would enjoy it here, but don't know it exists.

The problem with recruiting people to a beta is that everyone knows it will be wiped at launch, so instead of investing time and play as-it-is and help reporting bugs they just wait until launch. I am pretty sure everyone who ever played uthgard knows about Phoenix, and has already heard about its reputation but are still sitting on the fence because they value time differently then people on the server now.

Once i50 drops, you'll see a massive spike in players. and not only recurring players on the beta but also old "new" players.

I will be surprised if the server has less than 2000 players at launch to be quite honest. How long they'll be active is hard to say though.

There could be thousands of untapped players out there lurking forums, discord, youtube watching mmo related stuff.. How can we reach them.

As stupid as it sounds, share on instagram Facebook and twitter.

Also go through you friendlists on steam, discord, old teamspeaks and look for guys ou once played with. In a nutshell: get creative

When i started here on Phoenix it was hardly to get some kind of key facts about this server. So I think it would be good to create some kind of key figures and facts site where new players can see all the qol changes and infos to get a propper image of this server. And on this side would be also good to have some kind of Launch Timer lets say 1 Month before the server starts after beta.

And this site can be forwarded to our friends or gaming news sites who are not involved yet or know about phoenix.

The devs are working on a new site for the server as far as I know, so I am guessing they are getting their infrastructure for that well out before release. Hopefully with enough time to advertise the release at least.
