Let me state first that i don't think removing stealth or stealthers from the game is a good or reasonable idea but that comparison imo works against that position since it is quite easy to make a case how healers improve the game-fun for more people than it decreases the fun. While stealthers mostly increase the fun for the stealther player but mostly not for everyone else.
Basically by trying to make the comparison the claim becomes "stealthers are just as important to a good game as healers are", that makes it more likely for someone to disagree with you and take an opposing stance regarding the position than if the discussion had just stayed on the topic of "are stealthers in general a detriment to the game/server or not"
ok if you go that route... what about enemy healers? do they improve the game fun? what about enemies in general, do they improve the game fun? lets say the enemy zerg is rolling over you, it that fun? lets delete all enemies too!
if stealthers are not usefull in rvr, why were there tons of archer cry threads over the last month claiming that assisting/volleying archers turn the tides in zerg battles?
you will always find someone who does not like a class in a specific setup, but is that enough to delete classes? what about the ppl who enjoy playing these classes?
lets cut down to healer, tank and dps classes .... every realm only has those 3 classes, how much fun is that? the reason why daoc is such a great game is the high variety of classes.
i just wanted to point out what kind of stupid discussion that is.
assassin/thief/bow classes have always been part of role play games. deal with it.
