Well, I'll do it fast. Playing stealthers is fun, but the balance is currently way off. This was expected because the server is using an old version of the game as a base.
Since we're not looking for the old daoc experience, we can implement some changes that were made later to balance it on live.
1) Buffing shadowblades:
- The str/con debuff was changed to a wpnskill/con one. This was great for shadowblades who were forced to use 100% str weapons. This is already implemented on phoenix. It's great.
- Later on live on the classical server, the shadowblades were still considered up. Bladeshades rules. Bludgeon was implemented allowing shadowblades to deal crush damage for 30s every 5min. It was quite a "feel good" change and not really gamebreaking. Nightshades/melee rangers weren't night unstoppable anymore.
2) Removing the broken stuff:
- 9s dragonfang on a direct evade stun was nerfed to 5s for good reason.
- 9s scout slam was nerfed to 5s and I think it was deserved too.
3) The archery line (and scout buff) - that change is debatable tho.
- We don't want the live one, we're on a "classical" server. Most archers feel bad about their archery line. We can fix that. Playing on a classical server means that self buffs are a great thing for those who can have them. On live, the ranger's pathfinding line was moved to the bow one for everyone. This is a huge change and it probably would have been more home during the beta lol.
It would free up some spec points and give a good reason to spec high archery.
4) Give the hunter pet frienzy (if it's not already done) so it still has a reason to go beastcraft.
