Needs to be nerfed. Having a 9s anytime unresistable stun that you have to spend a bunch of RA points to have a chance of going up against just ruins this game.
there shouldnt be a single anytime stun with a duration above 5s.

Iā€™d say same goes for non chain rear/side.
Over 5 seconds should be left to chains and reactive

the problem is, 9s is strong for a post purge solo stun, but 5s would be a buff for 8v8, as you can apply it more often for peels and it would reduce the value of a slam purge

shield has plenty of alternative stuns usable for peeling in 8vs8
2s / 4s / 6s / 8s basically your choice

trying to argue against a slamnerf because it would be a buff in 8vs8 is quite a reach

In theory you are right, but in reality people use what is easy and always works, that's why everyone loves slam and numb and aint using side/backstuns, even tho it would be awesome highskilled play.

debateable...imo you either want the longest stun possible and use slam, or you want to just give a short opening to peel and then you use the shortest stun possible so the immunity is short
But even considering some niche scenarios where 2s is too short and 9s is too long...having the 9s option changed to 5s duration is not a buff, no matter how you twist it, because 4 and 6s options are already there, and someone skilled enough to see the absolute niche situation where that is better than 2s/9s has no issue with a sidestyle

The optimal buff from a 8v8 perspective would be setting it to 4s i guess, but 5s is not far away from that.

4s = you can stun and snare without any possible counterplay (unlike numb, where the enemy melee can still snare you back, after numb+snare)

5s slam would be peeler heaven from a exclusive 8v8 perspective

and it would be still long enough to attempt to kill any target with both melee or caster assist. - If you don't kill someone within 5s, then it won't happen usually.
