Shrooms in tower - seriously wtf

So shroom can target and hit without LOS from the roof to the entry level. Super fun to fight against. Thanks devs!

Yes, I'd like to thanks the Devs too for doing this server for free, spending their weekends and other spare time. Fighting off DDS attacks, BS OF files hacks, putting up with ungrateful free loaders, etc, etc, etc. I also want to remind them the the silent majority supports our Devs.

Shrooms only need an instant of LOS to begin casting. If they're sitting in the gap on tower roof there's a spot they can see you. There is also a sligjt gap in the corners of main tower door yhat permits them to nuke you in front of tower from inside, and another spot outside the poster on balcony that thry glimpse inside the tower's 2nd floor

Are those "Gaps" you describe actual Lines of Sight? Or glitches/technical gaps?

OP's tone is in no way warranted, i'm just asking out of interest if animist found a new thing to abuse or if someone just got mad that they ran by a shroomfarm carelessly

Both.
They get line of sight because there there are gaps between each component of the tower model.

Got spammed by Shrooms while on floor 1 of the tower and never went outside. /face told me they were on the balcony.

I would say it is bug abuse.

The gap at the front gate is a visible seam around the arch of the top side that you can see into the tower so thin you can't expect to make use of it for your own spells or even target anything through it

The "gap" in the postern door is one I'm only concluding exists because standing in front of it is safe until you walk to a certain angle from it (with shrooms placed outside the postern on balcony). In this case their LOS was a line from the postern door to the railing of the lower staircase where about half a norseman is visible if he's standing on the stairs. Looking down on the shrooms from roof they were positioned at the hinges of the door rather than centered in front it

I agree 100% with the OP.
This community is so toxic, Sure it's a free server, but most if not all of you will be first to say "Working as intended" on some nonsense.
STOP SAYING THAT...just think for a brief moment and actually make up your own mind instead of repeating this quote...

LoS is clearly broken with shrooms and has been since the beginning of Animists. Doesn't mean it's working as intended, in fact it should be embarrassing it's been broken for so long. (not for the devs sake but mythic/BS) The whole narrative behind "working as intended" no longer works as a cover up for broken or cheesy mechanics that can be abused.

I've been asking for a very long time for Shroom's LoS to be fixed **AFTER** they start casting like any other player in the game. They fixed LoS on TWF which was "Working as intended" but you know - ST can stun you through walls/floors without LoS still... Very odd changes were made that I can't really stand behind. and if I did stand behind them, I'd still get hit XD

But on a real note: It creates imbalance in RvR and if we're really going to keep saying it's working as intended, then change everything back that was nerffed while working as intended....

We all gotta have something to cry for.. in hibbie we cry about earth wizzies and their lovely GTAOE. It's lovely to see everyone inside a tower being constantly interrupted no matter where they stand..
