RP Bonus to offset Population Balance

Is it possible to look at a more significant RP bonus to under populated realms? Something along the lines of 75%, 100%, 125% (scaled on population levels over a period of time) so it make is worth trying to be the underdog and constantly getting rolled by realms with 100+ more online? Currently 20-40% is so minor and does nothing to offset the level of frustration, many players are experiencing on underpop realms.

Additional thoughts...

Some how tie it to the /timer so people cannot easily swap realms to underpop and reap the rewards of the increased RP's. Have it check the pop numbers within a similar timeframe. And if/when people do swap then the reward goes back to normal and it has accomplished the goal of restoring balance between the realms.

why that addition?
People switching from the overpopulated realm to the underpopulated one is a good thing, that should be incetived....not discouraged


To be honest, after you posted that addition it seems you just want more RPs, and don't want people to switch over and "ruin the underpopulation bonus". You don't want population balance, you just feel entitled to more rewards for doing the things you already do.... That's not what the underpop bonus is for though

Tbh they did that already and it didn't work, what could help would be remove the timer only from the most populated to the underpop so that people bored of no action would play on a different realm.

Populations are roughly the same, with mid being a little behind, most of the time.

The problem isn't population it is class balance. A rough gauge is RPs earned week on week.

Top 50 RPs earned last week

23 Albs
15 Hibs
12 Mids

Only 7 of the top 50 RP earners were tanks (heavy, light and hybrid) ...not including Skalds, with skalds, 9. no tanks in the top 10.

Most of those 23 people who made the best rps last week are people that zerg and that's because alb zerg is the only one winning mostly because it has the most numbers and its the most organized bg on this server. So yeah its a population problem not a class problem.

Fun fact:
I was playing NA time yesterday on hib, and Alb was getting 23% bonus cuz they had way less number according to /u.
But some hibs were still saying that alb zerg had way more players in BG.

What would have been the reason?
1. Maybe /u doesn't represent the real number of players playing in BG.
2. Maybe some players like to exaggerate the number of players of enemy BG.
3. Maybe both.

Anyway, I sometimes think letting players in BG know their own number might be interesting.
Of course you can /bg count, but you know, that number always have a huge gap with the number that actually follows the BG.
So maybe, for example, when hib bg takes a tower/keep, the number of Hib players around tower/keep is shown on /bc chat.
That could be interesting, and possibly help bg leaders to decide if they should play aggressive/defensive.
