Raising average utility and proc rate for 2-handed items by 50% to compensate for occupying off-hand slot.

This would include 2h/pole, staves, bows and instruments.

DAoC always stood out among RPGs in that it treats 2h equipment as equivalent to 1h. This would be a minor buff to archers/most hybrids/heavy tanks/instrument classes, while making the 2h option more appealing to Sav/Zerk/SB without requiring a deep dive into style lines and mechanics.

Would benefit casters as well, but given that casters require fewer stats in general the benefit they see will be diminished.

I think just doubling the damage or proc rate on 2h melee procs would make sense and be balanced. Bows do not need changed though because that goes against risk vs reward. Not sure what you mean by instruments, however, as they don't have any way to proc. As far as utility I'm sure they already thought of that.

2h already has a damage boost (20% if I recall) just by being 2h. Raising the proc chance would be an indirect nerf to both dw and shield classes.

Only talking proc dmg not weapon damage. How is it a nerf to dw and shield classes when shield gets reactive proc and dual wield gets lefthand proc.. You're way off buddy

Don't forget that 2handers benefit extremely well from Damage Adds because DAs actual damage is based on your current swing speed.

Reactive shield procs only work in rvr and block rate is reduced there. A shield class can only attack with a shield or weapon with each style.

One of the inherant bonuses to choosing to dual wield is both weapons have a chance to proc.

If you arbitrarily increase the proc rate of 2h weapons there would be one less reason to choose a light tank over a heavy tank.

There is no benefit to being 2h vs the other two so I'm not seeing the reasons you're stating to protest this. 20% dmg isn't enough to forgo giving the 2h a proc balance fix. Also damage proc damage only not 200% bonus to every type of proc just damage. DMG add proc is already balanced.

2hers are also slower, which impacts overall proc rate. For stats, I mean stat bonuses only - like +str. There already is a damage increase associated with 2hers, which is fine (based on spec for Alb).
