I was originally thinking of ways to tweak the event, but as I fleshed out this idea it seems to be a cool thing for people to toggle on in leveling groups aswell. I suggest to make an alternative to /xp off initiated by the groupleader called:
/xp pool
The highest level in the group would effectively be /xp off, while the various chars in group would get different levels of the pool based on how far from the top they are towards the highest level. This would boost the xp of the lowest level by potentially 2x what he would normally get - eaten from the rest of the levelers xp, and only from the top level char as if he was already /xp off. At the point where you have 4 players in the group at the same top level, there would be a tipping point where the xp would work like normal xp with the 4 highest having their /xp off. Once you reach 5 players at the top, you are loosing total xp as a group, and the only incentive to keep the /xp pool up would be to take advantage of certain spawns/xp caps.
Having this command in the event zone would definately do alot for team compositions as it would give people reasons to pick up what they need, and then being able to invest time into bringing the lower level to the next bracket together.
