It seems that some people are bad to RP at the point of just like someone called Phoibus & playing an animist with a bard / warden & co and waiting at the entrence with forest hearts already planted and litteraly just abusing the timer about porting in to kill people.
It's not the first one of course, there's other people who did it. But i think it's time to put an end to it.
Why ? Where is the fun there ?
Fun to get free RP without resistance by just abusing a function that already should be called immunity when porting in ? Isn't that just PL RP in a way ?
I know that people were abusing it with portal stones in keeps. Can't you just put it for POC only ? If you can't put it for POC only, can you adjust the time of it ? Making a rule about it ?
People will try to abuse it unless there is a rule. It's like the dailylife, you don't do whatever you want, there is rules outside.
Thanks for your time, sorry for my poor english speaking.

They should implement something like they did on live, where if you stay at the entrance for too long you get DD'd to death. Not sure why they haven't.
The above....and maybe regardless of which entrance you use you start at your own realms side So enemies would need to fight through to camp other realms

First issue with this is telic BG being given port to their own PoC entrance and second is the insanely short respawn timers on mobs

It’s not that much different than suiciding And is it really a big issue getting a port back to middle keep?
+1 There is definitely a need for some sort of solution here. No other realm can lock down an entrance to PoC with so few people. You need 3-4 people at minimum to stand a chance at kicking an Animist out of Mid/Alb PoC with a fully shroom'ed entrance.
Well it's not just Animists doing it, you also see others (namely a certain Merc) loving to stay in the PoC-Entrance waiting for Solos or lvl 35-40-groups that enter to farm some RPs that way.
Of course it makes sense to do it that way. The one who enters PoC will have no Buffs on themselves and might be additionally not able to move for ~5-10 seconds, depending on the internet-connection, granting some free hits.
And i also wouldn't call it bugusing or using an exploit, it's basically usage of the game-mechanism, as it is to camp at the dock waiting for soloers, or as it is to run through XP-regions to kill those pulling mobs.
But.... It makes no sense, to allow this sort of gameplay! And that is, what i seriously do not understand.
How long will it take, til smallmen or full groups just wait out in the PoC-entrance and fight for the pole position to farm people who enter?
Will you need a full group in future to guard you while you enter? Just so you can farm XP?
Edit: After thinking a bit longer about the possible solutions to that issue, i've to admit though, that i also couldn't come up with a good way to solve that. I still think, that something needs to be done about it, as you basically think twice now as a lower level-group, if you should go to PoC or not rather go somewhere else, where the XP is worse, just to avoid the PoC-entrance. And even though i understand, that Devs also want other regions to be used, i do not think, they want to make it almost impossible for levelers to even safely *enter* that giant dungeon. I mean, you have that giant PvP-dungeon, and the biggest risk is at the entrance?! Come on...
But how to solve it?
1) Safety-Timer would be easy to abuse, and no idea, if it would be even possible to set it to only a certain region and not have it apply to Keeps and other Areas. 2) Damaging Walls would solve the issue with certain Mercs... but probably not with Animists or any other Class, that can either use ranged Casts or can have Pets that do ranged Casts. On top of that, who would the walls damage? Only an enemy realm and not the one of the entry? Then its easy to abuse again as the own realm can stay close to the entrance in Relic-Keep-Situations and enemy Realm won't be able to fight them off. Would the walls damage everybody, you won't have the safety again, as you can't stay close to the walls to buff yourself up, as you also will take damage, so you've to get out of range of that and blam, you got the same situation again while still being unbuffed.
3) NPC-Realm-Guards at the entrance that con red to 50. Wouldn't be an issue for relic-raids or groups, but of course for solos. Problem is, they likely would be even farmed by Animists rather than fending them off. ^^
4) Rules.. might work the best, i remember how the rule against Ninja-Relic-Raids was implemented, i was with the Hibs by then when the relic was stolen from Alb by the NS who logged inside the keep, took the relic, got back over the wall, and while we were still all on the way back to hib wondering if that was correct now or not boom, the relic was teleported back into the keep and the rule was set up against this type of Raid. So yes, rules in general can work. Just where to draw the line? How far do you have to be away from the entrance, to not break the rule? And also here again, what about relic raids? what about simple groups passing through the entrance?
Sighs, personally, i can't come up with a good way to solve it that can not lead to problems of another sort at the same time.
