I think an auto-join system could be helpful as an assistance for group leaders.
The leader could enter
/grc public
This switches the group to public and shows up on /who groups.
A player could join with:
/grc join <group leader>
This would cause a pop-up like when you get invited to join but in reverse. The leader just clicks <ACCEPT>, rather than having to go to the bother of typing /invite and finding the name
It means that they don't have to be watching the LFG channel while trying to play the game.
The popup should show name, class and level of the applicant.
There could be an option to delegate to a "HR manager", but running the group is kind of what the group leader is.
(This could be helpful if the group leader isn't the highest level in the group though.)
/grc hr <name>
Extra options could give more flexibility. It is probably worth at least having a level limiting function.
/grc autojoin 20 30
/grc autojoin mentalist 15 30 once
This would mean that levels 20-30 could join and 15-30 for mentalists.
If a mentalist joined, it would clear the mentalist line due to the "once" option.
[Edit]
A bit more controversially, it could be helpful to allow applicants to view the group members of public groups.
/grc who <leader>
This would show class and levels of the members of the group (and maybe names). This means that situations where someone joins and immediately leaves would be avoided.
It could do more harm than good though. On the other hand, remaining in a group due to guilt of leaving is not good either.
/who groups could just show levels.
