Potion of wisdom - Phoenix Freeshard

Why is that an rvr affiliated reward?

As my 1st character, and being casual, I could greatly use that potion.

I can already tell you why not--it's intended as a PvP incentive. If you make it obtainable in PvE, it's just another thing that everyone uses. Personally I'm not a fan of such a thing. However, if bosses in DS/HOH dropped claws, then it would be related to end-game PvE activities, which is defensible.

It would be nice if there was another way to get claws in RvR besides keep/tower takes. As someone who doesn't really enjoy that, I never get claws. What if instead of getting a task token for RvR tasks you got a claw. People 35-49 would still benefit by being able to use them for xp potions or you could add a task token to the claw merchant so you could trade your claws for tokens.

Or just make those pots purchasable with BPs. BPs are next to useless at this point for a lot of people.

My guess is that claws were intended to increase keep and tower takes. I think this has been largely a failure as I don't know anyone that takes these objects for the claws, and small groups are typically unable to take towers, and full grups unable to take keeps so they are gated behind large groups that would likely already be doing what they intended. So it didn't really capturing from the pre-claw period.

Or maybe developers just wanted to reward people that do these activities with neat bonuses. Not sure the purpose of that. Maybe gruenes can comment.

Well I know that I'm being selfish with this, but it would have been good to find a way to link this with the first character. I know that can lead to issues, but at 50, most likely I would just use the potion for RP instead. And not for leveling an alt. I wouldn't sweat over it for a 10% increase but since the potion offer a 50% increase until the 3rd of March... Its very appealing.
