port to crim/nott/eras for assassins/archers/non speed classes?

disclaimer: not playing alot of solo myself, stealther not at all even. but ive repeatedly heard people say that the run to emain (corresponding mid-/alb-zone) is the worst really. so in an attempt to encourage people to go out solo (especially the visis) it might be worth a try to give them access to port to crim/nott/eras if claimed by the home realm. this might also restore some balance in the stealthergame (pop) in emain/odins/hadrians. and if people really just wanted to solo and not add, would even be possible/probably a good idea to not go to emain but odins/hadrians instead. i think for the stealthers one could even make the point that those keeps re the ninjakeeps (cos of double outside-gates), so maybe give them something special for the home realm too.

i wanna stress that this would be only for the non-speed+stealth classes (no minstrel) so it would, if anything, downsize the solo-/stealth-zone a bit (eventho they re fighting mostly in the main areas anyway) which i dont think would be too bad. on the contrary actually, most people would probably even like that, i could imagine.

different story for fg+ rvr, which does take place alot in the other, a lil less frequented zones aswell, also to avoid zerg/adds and rather get some clean fights.

Why?

As if there aren't enough stealthers on this server already.

Should instead make it so that hastener speed doesn't work on them to slow them down further.

Running in stealth is already about as slow as you can get, and speed buffs don't affect stealth run speed. (They persist, but have no effect until visible again.)

But then, you don't strike me as the type looking for a rational explanation. So let me offer instead -- y u mad, bro?

Stealthers are the victims, yo! The amount of anger and the proliferation of badass attitudes proves it! Give them double XP and RP at all times! Make Stealth Great Again!

It should be for everyone.

Between Emain, Cathal Valley, and the latest PvP event weekened, Cathal Valley showed the most promise as a long-term sustainable RvR model. Put realms on equal footing, but keep actual realm v realm. The PvP event had its charms, but it lacked goals. Emain is... a mess.

Cathal might be too small and still nobody seemed to care about the CK, but multiple zones / keeps across a single combined frontier, about the size of one region's current home frontier, and PKs roughly equidistant would do the trick.

No need for bandaid portals if the frontiers are designed correctly in the first place.

Agreed. OF was always a hot mess. NF and ruined keeps (NNF I think) were a blast. NF Mazes were fun to fight in, particularly the ruined village in Mid.

Fighting on a flat green golf course is just stupid.

interesting. i like the idea eventho i think its a lil too custom/extreme to have any chance of being considered by the team. i mean technically (if i understand correctly) it would be patching some of the existing OF-zones together into a smaller version that wouldnt require people to port at all i guess. actually reminds me alot of how NF was designed, it would just be at a smaller scaling (think most will agree that NF would be too vast for relatively low pop (freeshard) servers).

and i strongly disagree with what galla said, that it should be for everyone. think its been stated enough, that by doing this it would just mean a downsizing of the more or less frequented zones even more, for everyone. unless theres actually keep/relicraids going on i guess. but i dont think giving it to all would be smart. hence my more complicated idea in the first place.

im even to the point right now that im thinking if NF in general would may be healthier for the server. as i and many others said before the new zones are most likely too big for a server like this/at this point in time (not too many players left in general), but people were atleast given the option to port to all keeps owned by ur own realm. speaking of NF id think agramon would be a bad idea btw., just for the reason that it will most likely lead to the playerbase splitting up even more in hardcore 8-mans and casuals/pugs.
problem in a setting without agramon would be the run/trip i guess, incase ur realm doesnt own any keep in one of the other realms atleast. altho it would already be enough if lets say hibs or mids owned a keep in alb, for albs to not have to run/swim/sail over the ocean just to get to some action. so rvr would be rather centered until the attacked realm decides to still go for an enemy keep.
new keepmodels, towers, mazes (and even the ruined keeps i would think) were fun and allowed for some more diversified rvr/warfare. but im digressing.
