Player accountability. - Phoenix Freeshard

My suggestion is that account on forum and account ingame should be tied together. If not already.

Then make it so that you can /ignore someone on the forum or /ignore someone ingame.

And have the /ignore work both on the forum and ingame.

Is that possible?

That way players are accountable for their actions and they have an identity ingame and on the forums. The same accountability everywhere for the community.

1. Someone is rude to everyone on forum? They might get blocked ingame.
2. Someone talks too much or posts to much (guilty) they might get ignored on forums or blocked ingame.

3. Someone screws you over on a raid or steals from your house, block them and never see them again.

4. Rude to everyone with dozens of alts? Still accountable for your actions.

this will free up a lot of moderating from ingame on on forums by gms and make people think twice before being rude/jerks/general scumbaggery/spammers.

It might even encourage courtesy and polite conversation.

Last night you, relv, were on /advice telling a cleric if he puts points into Aug Acuity his conc pool will increase. I had to correct him and said "Acuity only increases your power pool, not your conc pool. Have you ever put on some +25 acuity gloves and all of a sudden no longer OOC? No."

Now I could have said that in some nicer way, but I don't because he doesn't know wtf he is talking about but insists on saying these things or making posts that do not make sense when you apply 1 ounce of logic or skepticism. Yet here is he is folks, suggesting a subjective system to control those around him. Don't act like this system won't be used to silence those you disagree with.

And don't act like this is just about you blocking all of their alts, you want them silenced / squelched for other players as some punishment for hurting your feelings or telling you that 2+2 isn't 5 but they said it in a meaner way then they absolutely had to.

help me admins someone is mean like really really mean go silence them and make sure they can't talk to anyone else either = this suggestion

That beeing said, i also question the Motivation of the creator of this thread. Although armsmancers tone is WAY off.

Acuity is not supposed to increase your power pool, acuity is only supposed to increase the strength of damage and healing spells. Dont know if Phoenix does it this way though.

EDIT: Besides is this really necessary, investing dev time into how most thoroughly ignore other players? As if there wasnt enough important stuff left to do.

Him and I argued a lot one day and even though he has the tools to ignore all my posts he is here asking not just for some auto-ignore of all my toons to save him the trouble, if you read it, it is asking for more: "The same accountability everywhere for the community." = "ban x, for the children!!!"

If his post said "just save me the trouble of finding out who his alts in game are" so its to ignore that account altogether, I would not be posting replies here. It is asking for more, and I oppose people appealing to the authorities to silence others, which is what this post is asking for, it is just teasing at it and doesn't have the balls to come out and say what they want the effect to be.

If you found me posting to the admins for help against you 5 minutes after a heated debate and eluding to a way I can whine about you enough to get you not be able to talk to other people as well, your tone would be the same octave as mine if you see that is what is really going on.

I understand why he infuriates you. He is annoying as the next best thing. But take a breath, shut up and then reply after you thought about it. When you act like the bad guy here, evrybody in here will stop supporting you. And thats sad, because nobody will hear your point.
