No portal ceremony concern - Phoenix Freeshard

I am really excited for all the QoL with this server.

However, I feel removing the ceremony may impact RVR too much.

The ceremony always acted as a penalty box, or a way to throttle RVR when people would lose a fight.

For example: With no ceremony- Albs and Mids would be able to rezz wave dun Crauchon or Criminthin making these keeps hard for hib to capture or defend. Or fights at AMG, Albs would have such a huge tactical advantage with being able to return to the fight almost instantly. Having unlimited reinforcements.

As a Hib, no ceremony gives the other 2 realms too much of an advantage over HIb. We have the long hike to emain while other realm can port there instantly.

Having to wait for the portal ceremony evens the odds.

Suggestion: Make the ceremony shorter? maybe 3-5 minutes? The casters either don't leave the pad, or maybe the assemble to wait closer to the pad?

Hell no.

The portal ceremony was removed from this game long ago for a reason. It's an utter waste of time and is going to cause a lot more people to stop playing than having instant ports.

People being able to come back from death faster just means more action for everyone.

Allow porting by the home realm to certain keeps under certain conditions?

That's another way of equalizing the time it takes to get into the fray.

No, we dont have ports to keeps in the FZ (except ATK, MTK, HTK).

Keep and relic raids take 3x longer with portal ceremonies as you always have to wait for extra ports to get everyone together. Also it's probably faster for Hibs to get to Emain than it is for Albs to get to Hadrian's due to the terrain and mobs.

this is not the first time this concern is discussed but devs don't want to change it.
no ceremony and no teleport on a keep for defenders.
since all realm have the same malus in their area and that the reason why devs don't want to change it.

but principal rvr area is hib and much time on emain. with no time teleport mid and alb have advantage...
to change this they implanted realm rvr task changing on the 3 realm area regulary to incitivise fight on the 3 area.
this task worked on the start of the beta cause they give much RP on first RR.
player stopped playing with realm task after i50 RR5 but maybe on live the task are going to be more followed and loved who know...
