Midgard casters/CC - Phoenix Freeshard

Has there been thought to give Runemasters more CC? Single target root just doesn’t cut it when compared to other realms. Hibs have stun, multiple Alb casters have mez(even AoE mez). Especially since Healers are main CC, leaving room for only one Mend spec Healer in the group. Hibs can have two Regrowth Druids and Albs can have two Rejuv Clerics because they don’t have to worry about CC. I played Hib forever during Live. Now I’m on Mid and it just doesn’t seem balanced IMO. Please let me know if I’m off base here. Thanks for any input.

So you think Hib and Alb groups are just running around with blue spec buffs? They may not have CC, but they certainly can't run two 40+ Regrowth / Rejuve specced healers.

That’s a fair point. I was really just trying to point out that I feel it’s an advantage to not have one of your two main healers as your main CC.

That’s a fair point. I was really just trying to point out that I feel it’s an advantage to not have one of your two main healers as your main CC.

I'm sure enchanters really feel like they rule the CC world with their stun.

I'm sure 95% of hib casters would give their stun for a root, any day.

Stun is only good in keep fights/zergs, and from the points you mentionned I suppose that is your playstyle.

So you are saying, you think the 9 sec stun that hibs get (like 1 sec for det tanks) is better than your root?

And as far as your analogy of the setups with druid and clerics, mid groups can run around with 2 pac/mend healers get heals and all kinds of CC and 2 cure NS (now even a cheesy 1 on sham that 1 in 200 shammys will use). I would do that over 2 rejuv clerics.

Thanks for making assumptions about my play style. What does that have to do with anything? The point of this post isn’t to argue, because I’m actually curious. The past few months have been my first ever on Mid. This wasn’t meant to compare casters. Was just a thought about CC ability of each realm, which so far in my experience seems slightly unbalanced. But I’m def biased at this moment.

I’ve just seen a lot of occasions, where like 3-4 Hibs can easily beat 5-6 Mids. Mostly due to CC.

Yeah, good point. My analogy wasn’t great. Just trying to give an example of how I feel that it’s not ideal to have one of your main Heal being responsible for CC too, when very little of the other classes have reliable group CC. Maybe I’m the only one who thinks that.
