It provides the incentive for Realms to control the most keeps. It is a place where players can farm feathers to buy powerful armor and weapons.
However, I think Darkness Falls is in need of even more rewards, so players have added motivation to own the most keeps.
Darkness Falls needs unique rewards. Ones you can only obtain in Darkness Falls. They can drop off bosses, but also be purchasable with Diamond Seals. So like feathers if you do not win a boss roll, you can always save up seals.
The Diamond Seal Merchants can sell these new unique items. Right now they mostly sell 40 utility weapons and armor for Diamond Seals.
What are some ways to make Diamond Seals more desirable? Some possible ideas for Diamond Seal Merchants.
I think adding the ToA/Cata/LotM reskins such Artifact reskins (Winged Helm, Phoebus' Harp) could work. Just make the Diamond Seal costs very high.

- ToA/Cata/LOTM Reskins. Add the Artifact items for reskins. A reskin merchant inside DF that sells reskins for seals.
- Unique charge items (100 AF charge rings)
- Teleport scrolls into DF for when a realm doesn't control it.
- Spell/Ability effect reskins. Changing the color or look of your spells or abilities.
