The last PvP even was some of the most fun I've had in DAOC in years. I loved that the groups were 5 instead of 8 and also liked the autogroups. Sure sometimes the groups just didn't work out but it was easy enough to leave and find another. And often it was surprising how well some of the oddball groups worked. I'd be all for separate zones for premades and randoms but just don't think there would be enough population to support it. And doubt there is enough population to make it work keeping the realms separate.
I am not saying making the experience or rps anywhere near what they were during the event. Just make it possible to level doing PVP from level 1 to 50 if you chose to do so at a rate comparable to what a 5 man group might level at doing PvE. For me, the exp could be much slower than PvE and I'd chose to do it in PvP. DAOC's PvP has always been its biggest draw for a high percentage of the population...so why not make it so they can do that anytime instead of waiting till 50? And they'll be better skilled and more prepared for RvR. What does a group leveling using an Animist verdant pet learn about fighting in RvR? The ones who wish to level doing PvE can continue to do just that however.
Some will argue we have the BGs for that. But we don't. First you have to hit level 24 . Then you have to hope there are players actually playing. Good luck. Most of the time Thid (Molvik) is dead or you might have a few stealthers running around. I have too many characters that I have forgotten about because I wanted to get some RA's in Thid before I continued leveling.
The best thing about Warhammer Online, to me in the early days, was being about to level alts by playing in the battlegrounds instead of its awful PvE. Why not try it here? Maybe restrict it to level 35 and/or RR3 if it has to be so? Though it is pointless to go out in RvR when you hit 35, if devs wanna force that to happen so players can be useless fodder for 50s to get 'free' Rps then so be it. And those that don't wanna be slaughtered endlessly over and over can just go back to leveling doing the boring PvE till 50. My vote is have a BG where you can level to 49 and get to RR5.
