Make DF permanently neutral. - Phoenix Freeshard

Meaning change it so it's open to all realms all the time.

Reasoning would be mostly around population size. Having it on the old system is nice but population size and off prime hours can cause problems with keep changes. Keeping it neutral and allowing everyone to enters gives more chance for that kind of PvP to take place. Those players that enjoy PvPing in DF usually don't like PvPing in the frontier and won't go there. This also gives another avenue for leveling/gearing leading to more interactions with the other realms.

I think this would have an unintended effect of actually stopping DF farm. Since a realm cant own it and send level groups in there or farm diamonds. It would be a hot spot for RvR and there fore make XPing there and farming there much much more difficult. The most populated or strongest realm would essentially permanently own DF in this scenario.

I could definitely be wrong, but i think this is a possiblity.

On this server DF (like all FZ-Dungeons) has two advantages for pve: It has the higher xp-group bonus because it is a dungeon and it has the regular xp-bonus that all frontier zones have. FZ Dungeons are the zones where you get most xp/bonuses theoretically. For that reason and to give every realm an equal start, df will be neutral for the first 2-4 weeks, so all realms will have access to it, no matter how many keeps a realm owns.

One of our main focus is to get people into the main rvr zones. Thats why we think it is not a good idea to make DF permanently neutral. We want people to go out and fight for the bonus to have it under control.

i would be on board for doing this temporarily.....maybe one month since leveling is faster here.
on that "other" server it should have been this way for 3 months and it would have been a much healthier launch.

we all know mid will dominate the launch, question is. do we want to do anything to avoid the same issue here?
