Okay, so maybe not an outright suggestion. Perhaps, more of an observation, followed by a question to understand the current system.
I enjoy playing support classes. Combine that with limited play time, it can be tough/frustrating to waste time getting a group together. However, I have still been able to really enjoy my shaman because I can go cave spec and solo while waiting for a group spot. When a spot opens up, I can /respec Aug and fulfill that support role.
Having easy access to respec stones has made that possible. So I asked myself, why not have this freedom when the server goes live? What is the purpose of limiting each character into a single spec/role? Is there a reason to force this restriction? Is there concern that people would /respec every few minutes depending on mob/opponent?
What if you could only /respec (for free) under level 50?
What if you could only respec (for free) once every <blank> hours?
Basically, I wanted to suggest leaving the /respec rules in place, but dismissed it as crazy. Then I questioned why it is crazy.
Am I babbling yet?
