Life Tap ROG Weapons - Phoenix Freeshard

I recently discovered that Midgard gets better Left Axe's dropping than crafted since you can get 2.4 speed LA the Hand Axe is usually is lower level when you craft it. The fastest LA you can craft that is 51 is 2.9 speed. There may be similar cases on the other realms that I haven't discovered yet.

Phoenix Feather system brings item drops down to a level where everyone can join. But for custom LT weapons it kinda starts to feel out of reach.

The suggestion is to change the current ROG so they reflect the crafted pieces.

And also make the Life Tap proc the ROGs have (95 Body with 60% Health return) craftable or buyable like the Reactive Dmg Add.

They contemplated implementing a Proc salvage system on this server to allow you to apply the tap proc to player weapons. A lot of people complained that the whales would have full LT weapons and full Galla vest heals on everything, and due to the complaints the idea was scrapped.

Personally I would love for this to be re-visited as there's a lot of differences in feather gear as far as procs go and the change would really help address this. Either that or have the procs themselves drop as epic dungeon loot. I know Midgard has some that drop but in Hibernia I've never seen a single weapon or armor proc drop in the loot and I've done the raid dozens of times.

The salvage system would be fine for weapon procs. There are some clear head and shoulders above winners. LT, str/con, and d/q debuff being the top choices in most circumstances. Maybe a buff to straight DD procs and getting rid of the absurd variance on dot procs might help balance this out a bit.

Style lines/dmg type/utility should dictate what weapons players opt to use not proc availability imo. Especially if they take steps to balance out lines.

Being able to put TG chest procs/150+ ablatives on every piece of equipment is where the salvage idea really went off the rails and I don't think that should be considered. Keep it to weapon procs only and it can work.

While re-rolling ROGs for some temps a few weeks ago. I was thinking about this very topic. When they wanted to do the proc thing.

They came up with an amazing idea with making gemcutting usable to re-roll ROGs.

Why not do the same idea for ROG weapons?

Be able to re-roll them to get the speed and proc that you want?

It'd give the community something to do with all the ROG weapons other than salvage, give people a way to perhaps get the weapons they want AND it would bring a new gold sink to the game. We all know how much they like gold sinks.

I really hope the staff reads this and perhaps think about it.

Yes there are similar cases on the other realms. On Albion Fastest Thrust offhand is 2.2 and only 15.0 craftable and slash 2.4 speed with 15.0. So you need to find Rogs for 16.5 dps and sadly they only have normal DD procs or the LT Proccs.

I am still hoping they are going to bring in the change they had in mind so you could somehow salvage procs from items and put them on something else. Then maybe I could finally get rid of that LT proc from my 2.4 LA.
