Absolutely not, this would ruin low-level grind spots, hinder new players finding groups, and shorten the overall length of the game.

I'd be okay with /level to level 10... But anything beyond will break the dynamics of this server. This is only because I've ran into a lot of times someone having a mid 20 alt and all I have are mid 30s or 50s, and it would make it easier to break the gap. Also I'd make this a purchasable account bound item not a /command to help with inflation.

/level 20 was one of the worst Idea they had imo, ruined low level play for new comers

That's the point... It doesn't change much and it can help clear an hours gap if your buddy couldn't help himself to wait to level with you. Why not? Most would choose not to purchase the token so win win? Could be useful

Why would he waste the gold to get free 10 if he is waiting on you to level up with him? I don't understand your logic... This is probably the lowest form of petty arguing I've seen in awhile.

Free level 10 would be perfectly fine. Literally nothing is going on of importance in those levels, other than the player getting an incredibly basic idea of how the class functions during the first half of the leveling game.

This version of DAoC is already extremely fast to level up. We did have insta 50 at a point in Alpha and Beta but that was to allow the end gane to be more fully tested.

This request fir insta leveling looks like a 'solution' that doesn't have a problem.

The best answer to this question is: Hell no!

Instant levels are highly destructive for the population on the server. This might be a freeshard but adding it in anything but alpha/beta will do more harm then good.

a) Zones will die out.

b) Economy pre 40 will be none existent

c) Battlegrounds will die out completely.

I don't have to bring more points to argument my case to my point because all those three will kill the server.

No thanks and it also will not happen if the server is healthy. I really don't see the point.
It's perfect at the moment in my opinion, as low levels have still a lot of activity - I actually like leveling up from 0 and experience all the zones - even briefly.

Some people sure are lazy. If you want a level 40, spend the few days it takes to get there. It's really not very hard at all. A casual can get there in a few days if utilizing their time.

This would be worth consideration if the grind was very slow and it took weeks of time played to reach 50. That’s not the case here at all. I disagree with any suggestion to get automatic leveling of characters.

To exchange the solution at this problem we can permit to level 50 to share his egg with him reroll to up quickly.

It cost farm and time so it's good, no ?

We need a method to rush leveling without loose the envy to play but not a command to kill the game ^^".

Any other way to rush leveling kills low level play, which discourages newbies. Eggs being transferrable would be even worse than a /level command.

Instant leveling without learning the class as you level means you end up with forums full of “buff <class> because <spec> sucks in Thid with free gear!” threads.

For starters, getting to 20 with the new XP changes is lightning fast. New comers would not be left behind.

Secondly, it's not mandatory. If you wanted to make an alt to help a new friend, you can still very much do that.

But /level 20 will give you a good glimpse of what another class is capable of without investing 2 or 3 hours in something you end up not enjoying, which is a perfectly acceptable reward for having gotten to 50.

Isn’t the reward for getting to 50 the ability to have a maxed out character that can participate in all endgame content with reasonable expectations? Why do we need to reward a player reaching 50 by giving them access to instant level 20 characters?

You can get multiple rewards for doing something. They don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Having the /level 20 will also create more characters, increasing the longevity of the server life. The easier alts are to make the more they'll be made and the more people will play.

That seems to be more conjecture than anything. If someone doesn’t want to take another 2-3 hours leveling as you say from 1-20 to make a new character then I fail to see why that should be something we need to cater to for them. Leveling on this server is silly fast and easy in comparison to DAoC Live years ago. This is an MMORPG not a FPS game, you actually have to be willing to sink time into characters here and it’s part of the immersion and achievement factor of leveling. I agree with the others that keeping lower level zones populated and looking alive and active for new/returning players far outweighs saving some people a few hours of leveling alternate characters. But to each their own opinion I guess!
