Just a question, what do you guys think about making purge like new ras, purge 1-5

How would it progress? I think if anything is done with purge it should be like NF. 5 sec delay, no delay, shorter CD.

It seems like the devs here want determination classes to be the only ones that can consistently “deal” with CC so I doubt we will see anything like purge 3 as it was on live. I do think a 10m reduction on current “must have” timered RAs would be a welcome change. Now that players can get back into the action so quickly the 30m timers are a little extreme.

Eh I do NOT want timers reduced on purge or other RAs. I also do not want NF active RAs. That deviates too much from this patch level.

God forbid you get into a fight without all of your timers up. They are powerful abilities and should NOT be available every single fight. Leave the timers as is

I used to hide in the trees in Hadrian's for 29 minutes until my Wrath of the Champion RA was back up.

I mostly just posted here for the sake of discussion as it had no responses.

Personally I’m not a fan of waiting for timers. It makes no sense to wait if you can get any amount of RP during that interval. Plus playing DAoC is fun even if you lose fights. Sitting around is not.

I think the old CDs are outdated and balanced around the fact that actually getting into the RvR zone and moving out took a lot longer in the original OF. Now we can port instantly and (at least in beta) clear Rez sick. It is literally two load times and some buff casts until you are hastened and ready to roll out again. 20 minutes is plenty of time in this context.

I also think there is something to be said for balancing timered RAs around det. It is poor design to have an ability be required to the point where it isn’t really even worth taking anything else for most characters that can get it.

I solo/small man almost exclusively so my perspective might be different from that of 8v8/zergers.

Reducing CD´s would result in faster farming of low rr enemies. The higher the RR, the more abilities you have in the fight against the same enemies over and over again. Low rr rvr would become a total pain.
