I post this every now and then (I think).
Trying again for the new year.
Wouldn't it be neat to usher in mmorpg staples like live events where GMs participate, and or, create something that forces the three realms to do something other than each other? Asheron's Call (sorry young folks), for example, had some amazing monthly events.
Since DAoC has some emphasis on gods, wouldn't it be cool if a few them became realized, and led some dire army towards keep takes? Naturally, defeating said deities and or armies and or retaking specially controlled GM keeps would offer massive feather rewards....
Or, what if Arturius Rex was brought back to lead a raid on Castle XYZ? Or even go Warhammer and take a city for 24 hours?
I get that you folks volunteer and are severely understaffed and underappreciated. I'm fairly certain Uthred and others have considered such thoughts a thousand times a thousand. I suppose it's just fun to throw something out there to maybe get the few players that read the forums to join in a conversation. As we all know, Dark Age of C. had so much potential and as with any project, certainly has room to grow in ways that fit the game's initial concept.
Just a thought to help inspire more fun in a 20-year old game.
Thanks.
