Instant Rewards are Essential

It is important to have both long term and instant rewards.
Let's start with keeps.

The incentive for taking keeps is controlling Darkness Falls. That is good, but players who take keeps need an instant reward.

Instant Reward: Earn 1000 feathers. 200 gold. 400 bounty points. Points towards a keep taking title.

Now Caravans

The incentive for killing Caravans is preventing enemy keeps from upgrading. That is good, but players need an instant reward.

Instant Reward: 500 feathers. 100 gold. 200 bounty points. 20 combined forces potions. Points towards a caravan assassin title.

Relics offer instant rewards. You capture the relics and earn a % bonus for your realm. Personally, I feel adding bonuses other than melee/spell % is better.

But what about a long term reward?

Use a point system for holding relics. The realm that reaches the point cap first wins. Realmwide rewards for everyone on the winning realm.

Having both instant and long term rewards is important. It allows players to feel like they are working towards a larger goal, while being rewarded continously along the way.
