Gathering Feathers - Phoenix Freeshard

Hi community,

It's been a few days since the playing field is over and it's now time for us to gear and template the chars we've leveled during the event.
As for myself, i started farming a bit to get some plates before the event in prevention.
It's been a couple of days i've been trying to buy feathers in the trade chat at various times of the day and i just couldn't find anyone willing to sell me some.
I could see the only way to gather feathers is DS or the epic dungeon if i'm not mistaken, but the first requires a group knowing what to do to perform well (and i've been refused cause i've never done it) and the second is less likeky to occure and happens maybe once every 2 weeks.

My point is, would it be possible to create a zone, or have mobs soloable who drops feathers for solo farmers?

i don't know what are you thoughts about that and if it's already been answered in a topic, but it feels really hard to be to get those while i have been farming actively lately and got the golds but can't turn them into feathers.
I just don't get why this ressource is that hard to get when basically everyone needs it.

I know it's not really ideal, but Shredders in DF do drop feathers. At the moment, that's your only option. I do agree with you though, something needs to be done to help the solo farmer. Unfortunately, they've been making it harder and harder throughout the server's lifespan for solo farming. With the coming pve changes, it's probably going to get even worse.

They decided that 50 would have no scaling applied so at 50 there is no change to your ability to solo mobs of x level, and rvr zones won't have be having this scaling applied so their mobs are presumably untouched.

I do hate being dependent upon groups to get anything done. With alb in particular just getting people together to fight world bosses doesn't happen anymore outside of Lynn Barfog, and LB wants only Theurg Cleric Necro with predetermined specs and an arms/pala and now always locked to 4 spots. It used to be you could run more and even 8 with a mess of goofy classes or less than 4 with some difficulty.

Thinking the loot or the feathers should be unrelated to group size- one or the other, not both. You pick between big group with high speed for A or small group for efficient B, with A B being feathers/loot depending on which went which way.

it's so easy to get feathers, just think back to times when you had to do hundreds of raids to get the items you needed.
as mentioned you can go DF. In albion you can do LB loops with just 4 guys. Doing some RvR will also give you feathers.
and if trade channel doesn't work try capital city's region chat.

I don't like the demand for making everything easy for solo players in an mmorpg. simply start socializing.
