Fix Advice Chat (Make it actually useful for new players/remove trolls/remove spammers)

I honestly don't understand why this hasn't been done sooner. The occasional comment (Like the omelets for phoenix eggs one that gets me everytime) is okay but 85% of the "chat" in this channel is spam, people arguing, or straight up trolling.

Should have been moderated long ago and the fact that it's still so heavily unmoderated (Clockwork I <3 u but popping in once or twice a day to tell people to simmer down isn't fixing the problem, only bandaiding the symptoms) is kinda silly.

Veteran players capable of giving good advice just turn the channel off now, and new players trying to use the chat get triggered by trolls or the real message gets lost in the sea of spam.

Lets squelch some people yeah?

The problem is, the GM's done even know.

Clockwork has mentioned a few times that /advice is also general chat.

Uthred has said at least once that /advice is JUST for in game advice.

Since the introduction of the realm wide advice channel we always said advice is for the general but still game related chat, at the same time we introduced the realm wide LFG channel, that one is only intended for actual LFG related things. We want to have a general realm wide chat in game and the reason for choosing /adv is rather simple and has to do with a client limitation: there are only so many supported channels on the client and for a general chat a must have is client side support to just disable it / to change the color.

The problem is, /advice is used for:

People actually asking questions about the game.
Selling items/Buying items
Sometimes LFG
Political chat (I don't want to get involved in but can't turn off)
Religious chat (I don't want to get involved with but can't turn off)
Chat about restaraunts
Chat about schools
Etc.

The dev's need to step in and enforce what it is designed for and not the billions of other things it is used for.

if you want to say it is for GAME BASED CHAT or advice that is great...but step in when it gets off topic and when people want to use it for buying/selling/political/religious/etc just put them on an automatic 3 hour ban from that channel or something.

Right now people just laugh and say "What are the dev's going to do?" and keep at it and nothing changes.

I think the devs have enough on their plate then to monitor this channel. I say leave it as is. We can turn it on and off, so they gave us tools to solve it on our end.
