Disease Healers inside Keeps

Hi There,

Thanks for all you do devs.

My suggestion is to have a disease healer NPC in each keep. Perhaps positioned inside on the ground floor underneath the lord room. This NPC would only be active if the keep was out of combat and the doors were closed. Upon click it would cure any disease on the player.

Why? Disease timer is only an issue for small man / solo who don't have ready access to a cure. The idea is that if you have made it to the inner keep, you are safe. You would then have to sit and wait whilst the timer ticks down. You can cut out this down time out, without having to make any changes to the game mechanics regarding disease, whilst having minimal impact anything else.

Thanks for reading.

Could also put the disease healer in the solo keeps as a resource for soloers to battle over and focus around.

Use it as a money/feather/bounty/claw sink

Sure but not too much please. If you need a disease curer its likely you need expensive pots too.

Perhaps it is time the obvious decision be made.

Reduce duration of casted disease
Greatly reduce assassin disease poision duration-- There is no reason a visible should have to limp around diseased for 2min after yet another assassin strafe vanishes.
Reduce duration of nearsight

There isn't a sound justification for such crippling mechanics to have outrageously long timers.

It has been two decades and we now know enough about game design to realize when mechanics are rote and needlessly anti-fun. Both disease and nearsight should be designed to be actively applied when the situation calls for it rather than being applied as a matter of course.

Imagine a world where timing disease and nearsight application consistently mattered and allowed more skillful (thoughtful?) and communicative players to have a bigger impact on a fight. It would be truly remarkable.
