Daily XP bonus

On Uthgard espacially the casual players suffered and had a hard time to level up in any reasonable amount of time.

Now from what I understand and have experienced in alpha XP will be much easier here. Anyway I still wanted to throw the idea out there that a daily XP bonus (e.g. +100% XP for the first 10 bubbles you do every day) might really help keep the very casual players, those that only play 1-2 hours per session and therefore mostly play solo (because of the time involved in finding a group and get things started), interested in Phoneix longer and eventually get them into 50 RvR.

Why not just adopt Mythic's free level every X days program.

Being rewarded for not playing on a free server? Not a good idea.
People are supposed to actually play, this feature is just to help out people with very very little time and give them a sense of real progress every day they play.

You still have to obtain a level to get the free level. So it is really not all that different then your 100% xp bonus for 10 bubs. Just less time required on grind.

Bamf, what you're talking about is like bundle deals in retail; it's there to encourage higher spending above a certain minimum. Tree is talking about a flat discount provided daily. While it also encourages spending of your time, it's different in that there's no minimum for the reward--therefore it benefits everyone equally. It will effectively provide the largest benefit to the less active players, and thereby push move them along faster.

Your idea (if I understand it) encourages lump-playing. This is more likely to benefit people that can arrange to meet at the same time, and either have rigid schedules, or open schedules in general. In other words, this is more likely to benefit the regular, or hardcore gamer, instead of the casual gamer.

Similar ideas, different outcomes.

I think you are viewing it backwards. The casual player will be on less frequently, maybe 2 or so days a week. Thus the daily xp bonus does not benefit this player except those days.

The X day free level, lets say 4 days, will allow that casual player to get on Monday, xp and get a level or a few that day. Now, when he is able to get back on that saturday, he can cash in on a free level and go xp again. Once he obtains another lvl, he can get a free level that next wednesday when he gets on, etc etc.

The daily xp method awards the hardcore players who can devote daily gaming. Not to say it doesnt benefit the casual, they just cant utilize it in the same frequency.

Well I understand there are different approaches, a daily bonus would have the benefit of encouraging daily regular play with some reward.
Sure it would also benefit the hardcore players, but most of them will not care about the feature. Essentially, if you XP daily you get 0,5 levels free, whereas hardcore players often do several levels a day. And speaking from experience, you would never leaver a great working group just because you have earned all your daily free XP, you stay as long as you can just because a great working group is worth more than any bonus.

Espacially regular hardcore groups would not play around this feature, because they would still take a month of daily playing to reach 50. Hardcore groups do that kind of thing in a few days. However if it encourages casual players to form regular groups, e.g. lets meet every day at 8pm for one hour and do our one level with bonus, that would be great.

I'd be in favor of a passive xp feed for just being logged in... maybe one that would result in .5 bubs per hour at any level. This way you are being rewarded for time spent doing menial things like crafting, travelling and standing around to form up for a raid.

This would promote logging in at a minimum but could also alleviate that feeling of "wasting valuable play time" while waiting for group members and such.

Couldn't really abuse it if you have an activity monitor that logs people out after x mins of inactivity.

This is a bonus that can be dialed up for events and low population times.
