Can we remove the /tag command?

Hello

TLDR: I believe the aim of the /tag command is to make solo-visi life less stressful, however, it is making me more stressed!

I've soloed (on my Friar) over the last few weeks (since the /tag command got introduced) and have not had the command used once on me, which should mean that nothing has changed for me and my solo life should have the same stress/fun levels...
However, since it's introduction i seem to be getting more annoyed (than i was before) at getting instaZerged by groups! I think I'm getting more annoyed now because [subliminally] I know that they (or at least some of them) could get their precious RPs without instakilling me.
Therefore, the /tag change is having the opposite effect that it was supposed to have (as I am now more stressed whilst soloing)
Do any other soloers have this experience?

It seems the easiest solution for now is to remove the /tag command, and following that, try and different way to reduce the stresses on solo-visi playstyle

that sounds like a pretty self centered request...not sure if you are being completely serious though
i can see where you are coming from, and it is not an unusual psychological behaviour (aka silver-winners are often less satisfied than bronce-winners, despite silver objectively being the better rpice/higher reward), but wanting the game to change around it disregards completely the actual positive effects the command has had.

We don't have updated numbers, but a few days after the first implementation uthred confirmed over 600succesful tags, meaning at least 600 zerg-deaths were avoided. If we are lucky they might give us an update on that, but the fact that they have tweaked the rewardsystem shows they are still working and improving on it. Also keep in mind that currently only fullgroups can use it, and due to the way it works chances are low that it gets used much outside of premades (i bet in most pugs half the group doesn't even know how the command works)

You will less likely get /tag'ed running around Docks and Bridges.
Same for Task-Zones and Zones with heavy Small-man activities.
Same for any kind of Siege/BG movements, (you can't get /tag'ed when near Structures anyway)
Same for roaming around XP spots (realm doesn't matter).

I got /Tag'ed several times in EV and in Non-Task Zones.

You can't expect any substantial changes short term with this kind of approach, as Player behavior is not easy to influence.
There had to be a start, and this is a start.

Your experiences so far are valuable for the matter, but this rather low effort complaint won't get you anywhere and definitely won't lead to any "productive" criticism or dialogue, that you may have intentionally in mind, with this kind of attitude.

I can understand the additional frustration, but this seems like not the greatest reason to get rid of the command. That said, I don't have high hopes for it changing anything. FGs get the same RPs from killing you as they'd get from /tagging but if they kill you, it's guaranteed, while if they /tag you, there's several additional things that have to happen before they see the RPs.

I've only played during the event and so haven't had a problem with FGs since there have only been like 40-60 players in the frontiers anyway. I also don't normally have much isssue with FGs since I rarely hang around high traffic areas like Hadrian's/Odin's/Emain or the more accessible task flags.

EDIT: I should say that I see more of a need to stop coddling 8mans than a need to make the world safer for solos. I don't care if I get run over by an 8man, but it annoys me to no end when realmmates disengage and encourage enemies to kill me.
