Can we remove EV from the task cycle?

EV task is a bit silly because it's just run in circles without any functional change to the game (the towers are too out of the way to matter). Further, it'd help the 8's community as their traditional stomping grounds would no longer be overrun by zergs every 2 hours.

Alternatively, allow 8v8 realm groups in the dedicated ToA zones. Although that doesn't solve the issue of EV task being silly. It's also a deviation from the existing ToA zone rules (since they allow for cross-realm groups), so probably a larger ask, too.

it's the only flag task I love because of the choke points and I can solo on the way there...

i like both suggestions, EV is the worst of all tasks and usually the one i completely ignore, but seems some like it, so it has its fans

Giving the fairfight 8mans their own 8vs8 zone seems like a win-win situation for everyone. More and easier access to fairfights without adds for the set groups, and everyone else in the frontier gets an easier time. Staff has less issues with controlling fairfight rules and if some are abusing it in whatever ways.

The only downside is initial work for staff to set it up

Remove the EV task, make /gvg toggle only work within EV, then we'll see how many of the elite groups really want a "good fight" and how many of them want to farm PUGs and then cry when they get added on.

You assume that 8v8 is for elite groups only so some of them would really meet EV and fight each other but there are other groups too and with a PUG or as a beginner 8man you don't want to fight elite groups over and over again and lose every fight. So having 8man groups in different zones is a good thing in my opinion. Furthermore if I roam in the task zone I don't even complain about adds because there is nothing to blame since it is likely that someone adds.
Having unclear fights even brings some changes in the fights and it is something different than just having clean fights.

No, I understand that if the crybabies want their perfect fight they shouldn't be looking for it in the task zones.

I 8man exclusively, the only groups I ever join are roaming groups, but we don't run around feasting on the lower tiered groups while demanding no one interrupt our fights and pulling off any time something we don't like happens. If they want an arena, give them one, and shut them the hell up. This /gvg system is a complete fiasco and a waste of developer's time.
