Okay so lately I've been annoyed by not being able to kill a lot of casters as a "true ranger" a ranger that rely on their bow to do most if not all of their damage. I would love to see some kind of a change to them so the "RP" or whatever you wanna call it feels right. So I would like to come with a few suggestions to what you can do.
Magically imbued arrows (Through SCing) Very simple change you make arrows that can be imbued with a proc / changes dmg type to another type, Or even poisontipped arrows. (Diseasing someone with a arrow could be an interesting mechanic) (it could also help in the sense that you could put rangers more comfy in a group, If you could use a certain set of arrows to debuff a resi and then switch to do that dmg on the target)
Cointoss chance to hit "perfectly" on a caster ignoring a portion or all of their BT with the first hit you do (it would not break the BT. Instead it would do the dmg (which in many cases will freak someone more out) could make for a interesting interaction with archers/casters.
Making crit chance a higher base % chance of happening. This one can be plain OP so I know most wont like this one. But being able to hit hard with a ranged attack more often can be something that can make a archer more of a "prio/dangerous" target.
Increasing the dmg modifier of arrows that are crafted. As at this point of time the arrows you craft are the same as the ones you buy off merchants (They are just made cheaper and more on demand, Correct me if im wrong), If you could make some REALLY expensive sets of arrows. (use some of the latest ingredients on merchants) that makes you think about using them but they will have a bigger impact if you shoot someone. (It could also make arrow recovery RA be worth picking up?.) maybe even make it viable to have a ranger in a group? (what an outlandish idea right?)
And then there is the most extreme (IMO) option of just remaking how archery works as a whole in the game. Which would be up to the dev's how it would work (as the devs on this server are very competent and know what they are doing).
These are just some suggestions I would come with as I really like the "RP/Playstyle" of a PURE archer.
Hate all you want, I want me a sniper
