Hello,
there are classes that can choose 1 spec and use that for group, solo play, PvE play, and be done with it.
Some classes however need frequent respecs if they want to change from group play to solo play. Also, there are some classes which should be specced differently depending on the group setup: If you run a Hib group with 2 bards, it makes much more sense to spec one bard to 0 songs and increase his regrowth instead. However, that bard will never find a group without there being a second bard. Hence, only hardcore players who either only run in a set group or can afford to respec every evening will benefit from this.
Hence, I want to make the following suggestion:
Introduce a new kind of specialization stone that can be bought for a significant amount of feathers and is character bound then. Initially, that specialization stone is empty. You can go to a certain NPC, hand it to him. The stone now saves your current spec. However, the spec can only be saved if you spent almost all your specialization points (only very few may remain. this is important to prevent abuse).
You can now buy a second specialization stone and save another spec in it. Now you can always switch between those specs by using the stone. In order to prevent abuse, those stones can only be used in PvE zones (exactly like the personal bindstone).
From now on that character can indefinetly swap between this limited set of specs. He has to think carefully about his specs, because once he has saves a spec in one of the stones, that can't be reverted. If he wants to add another spec to his pool, he will have to buy another one of these feather-intensive goodies.
Something similar could be done for RA-Specializations. However that is a bit problematic because you continue gaining RA points and if you set your spec once at RR1 you basically get a free RA respec all the time. Maybe make this just a QoL-item which can be reset to other RA-specs all the time, but has charges that need to be recharged at the recharger NPC that cost gold equivalent to the value of a RA respec. However I am not quite certain about this.
