This will not be able on this server. We have harps so you dont have to switch instruments, but all songs at once will not be possible.

Is there any possibility that the dual chant system would be considered? It was introduced to live in patch 1.97 and made playing chant/music classes a lot less aggravating. Managing a pet as a minstrel is a nightmare without it, especially considering flute mez counts as a chant. I get that this change would be on the fringes of QoL, but most competent players manage to juggle charm/songs anyways despite it being a major headache. Playing the class to its full effectiveness shouldn't be such a PITA just because of game mechanics.

Yes give minstrels some love please, I think purple pets and archer like stealth is not enough its still too much work to score a kill.

Very constructive.

This change technically wouldn't increase the Minstrel's power level directly (outside of possibly one extra tick of ablative in certain situations), but rather makes things the skilled ones already do less painful to manage. However it does lower the skill floor which indirectly increases their strength-- even players who think they can stealth and manage a pet at the same time might have a chance to play them well.

I don't really see the harm in adding mechanics that make frustrating mechanical things some players already do a little bit easier. A good example of this being done on Phoenix is the weapon swap macros. Good light tanks were already speccing for slam and manually equipping a shield, but now everyone can do it in a much more efficient manner. It lowers the the skill floor of already powerful classes, sure, but it doesn't actually make them capable of anything they couldn't already do.

Its also quite annoying to click targets to nearsight disease or debuff. Good players already mastered this hassle, why not make it automatically applied to everyone just to even it out a bit, for the sake of casuals - not for me of course

GOOD idea. Now you're getting it.

The songs could be made to be queued like spells. If you are starting a song and try to start another one, then it doesn't fail, it just sets the second song to be queued like a spell.

Ideally, song -> spell and spell -> song would also be queued.

This means that the char cannot run 2 songs and also do other things.

If it works for crafting, then it can work for songs .

It means that you can run both by pressing the button for one and then immediately the button for the 2nd one. That is less effort than twisting (or just holding down the button for the 2nd song).

Ideally, the interface shouldn't be used as a constraint other than when necessary.

Even better would be one button that runs both songs one after another. If a penalty is required, they could be uncancellable. You always get the 2 songs, unless interrupted. You can't move to break the spellcast like with spells.

On another note, could songs be made so they cannot be cancelled, except by a different action. Pressing the end button on the quickbar can cancel end. If the song is already running, it should do nothing.

To cancel the song, the conc menu could be used. Alternatively, there could be two different quickbar options, the toggle one (as now) and the new one.
