Advice to Phoenix - Listen to your players...

First of all i haven't spend much time here on the forums, so im sorry if im completely wrong and/or misguided.

But i've been reading posts about the new changes to the rvr task system and yes theres alot of negativity about it.
But you should really be listening to your players instead of just locking the threads when theres too many "negative" posts.

There's a reason why people spend time posting. I almost never spend time on any forum. But this time i felt like i had to say something.
I was really enjoying the initial rvr task system and it seems like alot of people prefered the old system.

Whatever. I just wanna say listen to the players. Without them your server is useless

Personally im gonna quit for now. If something like the old task system comes back im all yours again.

Yep old task system was better.
And every post in forum was from a player which care for her/him gameexperience.
Ofc staff cannot care what every player want.
In the end they need to do what they think is best for server.
Just never loose your ground to the community.

But when i read post from staff member Anaethema:

It hasn't even been a few hours - give the new task system some time to see how things play out - if you have nothing constructive to say, perhaps you should step away from your computer and go get yourselves some fresh air.

This is why we can't ever have nice things!!

I get sorrows for the future and the feeling exactly this is the point where staff loose ground to the player. We all want the same, a sucessfully and fun place. So lets work together for a bright future.

Anathaema isnt a staff member. He/she is a volunteer forum moderator and doesnt have anything to do with server development. Their opinions are their own and not reflective of the staff.

Just sound like Abydos and feedback is very important and not a bad thing!

Yep - I have very little interaction with the GMs/Admins and my only authority is to edit/delete/lock posts on the forums.

I do this so the staff doesn't have to and can instead focus on programming the server which we all love to play on... FOR FREE!!

Hmmmm i think you're wrong, it's not because many people don't like/are not agree with how become the game with this patch, they are not constructive, i see many constructive comments, but sure not many agree with this new patch.

But i believe in your team of DEVs/GMs/Admins to be smart and to do like you did most of the time, listening players and don't stay in a closed point of view like this post show, because you took time to do that and i know it, but that's really not DAoC for me (TP in RvR and keeps become decoration, every fight in open field), and i undesrtood the patch i think, i don't need 1 week, 1 month or 1 year to understand it

So break of RvR for me too, have fun everyone
