A fun way to increase Mob type xp bonus.

I have been thinking about the Mob type xp bonus that Phoenix team added to the server, I think it was a nice move and made new xp-spots more viable than the old normal camped spawns. However it now also made some places kinda obsolete since atleast on Alb humanoids, undead and animals are down very low.

How about you organize some events in RvR zone where you can kill certain mobs and bring the xp bonus for that certain mob typ back up for your realm?

I don't have a perfect idea about this but let's say something like a server-wide announcement was made that "An invasion of insects have begun close to Nottmor Faste" and a few purple mobs (that can be handled by full grp) spawns and each of these mobs restore 1% insect mob type bonus xp. At the end of the event a larger mob spawns which require maybe 5 full grps to handle and gives 5-10% restoration and a bunch of feathers.

This would if timed correctly send people to do the objective but at the same time be contested by other realms and hopefully make for some fun three-way action.

This would mess with the caluclations of the bonus though...
Afaik the boni fluctuate by comparing the amount of mobs killed of Type A to the Mobtype with the highest amount-killed.
The reason humanoids and demons are very low is because they are still farmed a lot by farmgroups at max level. That is keeping the Boni of the other Mobtypes up.


I don't think the intention was to have certain mobtypes constantly above 300% since a bonus that high makes all other mobtypes bad killtargets for people levelling, but due to the farming habits at maxlevel they baseline of humanoids killed exceeds most other mobtypes by far

In my understanding the bonus does not fluctuate but only goes down the more of said mob type is killed? I am not 100% on this though but I'm pretty sure I have never seen a mob type xp bonus go up.

Yes, I also understand that it was not the intention but now that's the way it is. If they notice that too many mobtypes go above 300% then they can just increase the drop from killing those mobtypes. I think it would make for a dynamic way to encourage players to PvE where they have a chance of getting attacked by other realms.

why not have a roaming "boost" xp bonus depending on zone or realm so SI gets a boost for an hour then it switches back to mainland Hibernia or into the dungeons ?
