I read about the 5% xp bonus per player in the group which is nice, but will the group split the xp it gets? Or will the group get the full xp PLUS the 5% xp bonus?

It is 5% per different class.
Example:
2 Heroes, 1 bard, 1 druid = 15% extra xp for everyone (3 different classes = 3x 5% = 15%).
1 Hero, 1 bm, 1 bard, 1 druid = 20% extra xp for everyone (4 different classes = 4x 5% = 20%)
It is not per player, but per class. We put this in to encourage people to group "not so popular" classes.
Example:

Ok that is a nice touch.
What about xp being split amongst party members? If a group of 4 different classes kill a mob which is worth say 1000 xp to a solo toon, can each person in the group expect to get 300xp each or 1200 xp each?
