Why didn't you simply lower the resistance debuff value?

Adding hp across the board has plenty of effects that harm playstyles which were already underperforming. (non debuff casters, archers,..)

This strikes me as overkill, unintended and unforseen. The issue with caster groups spike damage is entirely centered around the debuff.

Why use a bazooka to kill a mosquito?

It didn't even really hurt debuff trains, and I am not even sure if that was what they intended to do. I think they just wanted to raise ttk in all situations.
