Why can't I put my Grandmaster Merchant in my account vault?

I can understand why I can't put it in a house vault, because that would allow money to be traded in a somewhat sneaky fashion.
But why can't I put it in my account vault? Every character on my account is me.
Please allow this. Since I don't need to be on a specific character to craft anymore it would make it easier to just keep the merchant in my account vault so that no matter what character I am on I can get to it.

Thanks.

Are you sure it's not allowed? If your'e talking about the purchasable multi-use merchants, then they already can be swapped in account vault. I did it just the other day: bought it on a higher level and moved it to account vault so another character could access it. I logged in that character and took the merchant out of the account vault.

Maybe there's one version not working (or you're talking about a different merchant/npc than me) but I know the expensive one with 40 charges works in the account vault.

Hi!
I believe he is talking about the actual merchant that you can buy and install in your house on a hook-point. In a bygone time, purchasing merchants and other housing fixtures was used as a means of transferring gold between characters (i.e. money-laundering) since they are a) expensive, and b) could be re-sold for their original purchase price. I don't recall ever putting a merchant in my account vault, but I would be very surprised if this were prohibited.
:hugs:
