/title changes - Phoenix Freeshard

Why did you change /title ?? I was simple and easy to use. Now you have this cumbersome awkward app that requires you to go outside of the game using a pin that you can only get in game ?? and it only lets you access just the one char you got pin for?? This is a really really bad idea of epic proportions please reenable /title in game till you fix this bad app.

Make app account based with a char select option this would remove the need for a pin and would make the app actually usable.

The ingame title window has a character limit and since we don't do client changes we can't change that -> without this change we were unable to add new titles, that included allowing previous tiers of earned titles, e. g. our darkspire / hoh titles. Also some people actually hit the limit already and were hence unable to use /title at all until a "fix" was made that just left out some titles.

Ok I get that but why break it for everyone to support a few ? As it is currently the app is not a viable replacement. Having to put in a pin for each player is far to cumbersome especially if you don't have more than one monitor.

How often do you need to check your stats lol. This is a good change for ppl that have many titles, + if they add more titles. Take a step back and see why youre wrong on this one lol.

So you continue to take the GAME out of the GAME!
first the /title, now the market is outside of the game as well?

What will be next for the app, being able to do rvr tasks outside of the game as well?

I agree that the market explorer is better than the ingame version or at least the vision of it and i also understand now the reason why they had to put the titles into that app page as well, but it is still a bad design decision even if it fix the ingame character limit for a few. At least it should be possible to set the titles on every toon simultaneously not just one at a time. Sure, once the title is set you are probably done for a while but there are people who change their titles more than once and it's just tedious to change them for every toon at a time. You also can't check if you got a credit on the fly.

Since you have to log in on that web page with your account details as well, you are also at a higher risk of hacking or what ever - which is kinda meh imho - because you put the whole account at risk, just because you want/ have to use the market explorer and the title window. If someone ddos this page...ok you also log in with your account details into the forum and the forum is almost never(?) down but doing the whole account detail log in for a third site? Oof.

As for the security concern, don't forget the 2 factor authentication / email confirmation when a new computer logs in.
