The Mordred/Camlan/PVP Server dream ? Forever forgotten ?

Hi

Many ppl enjoyed the PvP experience of Mordred/Camlan.
You have QOL features and lead the freeshard game.

Why not try a PvP server one day ?

Mordred was the place for cheaters and smack talking punks to go to feel superior while they cheated away

the reason these servers died was because people don't like getting berated verbally everytime they died! i tried mordred a few times and the experience was something that i don't wish on my worst enemy

THAT is why there is no Mordred Server, if one was started with the current /ban system, there would be noone left on the server to play so why start?

Cheaters? Yes, like other servers.
Trash talkers? Yes, so what?
Harder? Yes that's what people expect.
Unbalanced? Yes indeed so what?

But anyway, even without a high rr char or guild, this is where I had the most entertaining pvp / pve.

Limit groups to 3. Group that does the most damage only gets RP.

Mordred died because it had a lot of issues the devs refused to fix not because it was filled with cheaters. All servers had cheaters and dicks.

Wish a freeshard mordred would come out but i cant see anyone who has a functioning server already going out of the way to make and run a 2nd at the same time.

I would not be averse to seeing a Mordred type zone that you could port to.

I’m not a cheater or smack talker and played there until it died. It was a ton of fun, I made friends I still keep in touch with. The 8 man fights were a lot of fun and seemed to last for 10 or 15 mins. Having said that Phoenix is perfect imo. There’s plenty of activity in the fz for those that want it.

I stopped Mordred b/c people would primarily camp ports and [edit - Language] run to a portal every time they were near death. I tried to camp farther away so they couldn't run to port but the action was non existant. Great idea on paper, but implemented quite poorly.

At its height, DAOC (in NA) could only support two PvP servers, I doubt there is enough population to support one now. Would be fun, but I think I would need a non PvP server sometimes when people get too toxic.
