I know your foundation is 1.65 and in that version snipers were particularly....... underwhelming. I do not recall any class changes for scout and i was wondering if any are planned. My two favorite classes were scout and paladin. Also i was curious if there will be any changes to pally two handed letting it be viable in pve or rvr. Thanks for all your hard work on an awesome server
Paladins can do decent 2hand damage, but you have to spec 50 2H for it to be viable. You can't go a split spec like 34 2H 42 Shield 43 Chants etc etc and get the best of both worlds as at this patch level it's just not possible.
I highly doubt they'll make any changes to paladin damage.
We already made some changes to paladins (det, increased endu-range). Atm we dont have any further changes planned. We are focusing on getting the beta ready. When the beta is up and running, we will keep an eye on the "evolution" of the server and what impact our QOL changes have on the gameplay as such and what we might have to change.
Snipers were fine at this patch level, IMO the new archery system (which came in like 9 years after release) ruined archers. Now you need to be 50 or 0 archery, anything inbetween is pointless. My scout was always high melee because 30-35 bow was enough to do decent ranged damage but you didn't rely on it. The ONLY issue with scouts on these server types is no buff bots, rangers and hunters get self buffs while SB, NS and Inf are just strong anyway. But an unbuffed scout is entirely useless
Got to be careful of adding too much into the game to benefit one particular realm or class that wasnt natural at this stage. Could impose significant unforseen consequences. One has to decide at what point do you stop buffing classes.
Yeah exactly, I mean there were always classes that suffered every patch level, but 1.65 (with det for hybrids) is probably the most balanced you will get. Again one of the big issues is that mythic made their changes based on the fact that almost everybody had access to full buffs via bots (which meant scouts inbalance wasn't noticed because suddenly path finding and beastcraft buffs were only good for AF) While I personally think realm buffers at PK's giving capped wouldn't be a problem, for some reason every free shard has a massive problem with this. For 8v8 it doesn't make as much difference, but solo or duo stealthers, buffs have a huge impact. Because of this scouts were unusable on uthgard and will be the same here. Unless you want to sit in a keep pinging out arrows (which I suppose is what they were made for)
