Apparently you have programed the keep defense to force people to attack or it will stay there all day. For instance DDB has been the task for hours and according to one of your GMs its supposed to be that way. Well its broke cause it forces people to play your way bad thought process this needs a max time on it you can't force people to attack a keep and punish others that are trying to do the task but cant due to improper programming these need a timer on them attacked or not say 20 - 30 mins ITs broke atm so when something is broke it needs fixed Please see to this for us that are trying to play during this low pop period

Some truth in upper post, i just did 'Defend' task, and then moved on, but somehow, the task kept and kept eternally restting (had an eye on it, reset like 7-8 times despite very low population = like 40 people all realms online). Pretty annoying somehow, as i wish i could have switch on another toon but wouldn't, because i wanted the task reward to be validated. I ended up, cleaning my room after a while, came back, still same task, washed my dishes, back > same task, and finally logged out. I think too there should be on each task a maximal timer of 30-45' maybe ? Or another way around would be that once u achieved the requirements, and wish to switch/log out, the task automically tags your toon which will be rewarded by next log in. As it is now, it's somehow weird and unadapted in my opinion, as there will always be some guy running there, being intercepted while in range from some stealther, rince and repeat, groundhog day...

having to stay logged on for the rewards imo is a flaw in itself...i don't know how much of a technical problem it is to change that though, so if it takes a lot of time other things are probably more important.

If it is intentional, i would be intrested in the arguments that support the feature, anyone here able to play devils advocate? Or simply agrees with the current way and wants to argue that POV?

12 people need to be involved in a keep fight of which there have to be at least 4 defender and at least 4 attacker for the attack/defend keep x to trigger in case of a failed attack. It's always supposed triggers if you successfully take the keep.

Reward while logged out will not come as that would allow you to go there with one character do something, log another do something etc and get credit for the same task on all your characters.

Then it must have been bugged, gruenesschaf, because we were maybe like 5-6 mids at Caer Eras def, and when i left there, only a thane was still in the area.
I went afk once back in Mids keep (then later in SF) to clean around my room for like an hour, and had a look at task (refresh) every x minutes which did reset to 'defend blablub' several times despite at the end when i logged out a really few people online on each realm (i checked). guess we were like 12 mids 12 hibs 15 albs or so, when i logged out. I'm not the only one which asked himself if this was a groundhog day reloaded : you can check in 'general' channel on discord, somebody else posted there for help of GMs as he thought the task was bugged. =)

One thing is sure, at no moment i saw there 12 people, not even if counting mids + enemies.

thanks for the explanation, makes sense to me

Hijacking for noobquestion: do we have to STAY logged in all the time? Or do we only have to be online when the rewards are pushed out?
