Realm timer question ( not a complaint )

how exactly does the timer work ..? When I choose HIB am I then locked into hib for 12 hours ? Or is it when I log out at night I must wait 12 hours before playing MID/ALB. And is there a way to view my current realm timer ?

I too am curious on how the mechanic works. I think it's when we log out, and any log in attempts after reset said timer?

The timer starts when you:

1) create a new character on a realm OR
2) log into a character in the chosen realm

As soon as you log out of the said character the countdown timer starts. If you log back in and it shows the three realms and you click on a realm, that does not start the timer (as long as you do not log into one of the characters or create a new character).

There currently is no way to view your current realm timer.

Last night logged out hib 1:26 AM tried logging in today @ 1:50 PM and would not let me switch .. LOL why does everything always need to be so complicated .

Comment from Galahad (developer) - "The 12 hours are not a cool down but a fixed timer. Essentially, it will lock you into one realm for a given play session - that's the intention behind it." Not exactly sure what the "fixed timer" is based off of, but it will not be 12 hours exactly from when you log off.

I would check again later in the day to see if you can switch
