Reaction Style time frame

DAoC introduced a 3 second time frame to fire off reactionary style back in the days.

Is this timeframe active here as well and, if so, how does it work on Phoenix? Do you need to queue the style within 3secs of the event or is it irrelevant when you queue the style but the attack needs to be within 3secs of the event.

Example
I strike with my 4.5secs hammer
I evade
I press the evade reactionary style immediately (within 3secs of the evade)
4 secs later my hammer strikes again - will the style fail or are the 4secs the hammer needs to strike irrelevant?

Thanks for helping me out on this.

You must strike the enemy within the time window.
If your swing is too late, then your style will fail.

In my experience you need to queue up the attack within the time window but you also need to attack before the enemy attacks again.
Using your example, you evade and queue up the counter evade attack. If you get attacked again before you swing and something besides an evade happens then your post evade style will fail. I am not sure if this is intended or not but it seems almost impossible to get one of these styles off with a slow weapon unless you autoqueue it.

AFAIK you have 3 seconds to get your reactionary off or it will fail after you evade and nothing else matters. Have not noticed whether or not your opponent attacking before the 3 seconds are up makes it fail but I don't think it does. It's not suppose to, that is literally 90% of the point of the 3 second window. I'd be very happy if they took the 3 second window out and went back to what what it was in 1.65 but (shrug).
