Since i didnt get any response to my suggestion to buff DT RA, i will ask here. How does DT work? Why cant i hit anyone for more than 525dmg with DT5, its suppose to be 675. How do you calculate the dropoff, because on an 8man i hit the 2nd target for about 300-400, then it drops off to max 200 on 3rd. It there sole kind of resist that does not show? Also, is there some DT strategy that works or is it just a really bad RA for the points?

AFAIK DT is a pbaoe, so the target has to stand right in the center of the trap to be hit for full damage.

would probably be easier to use properly (and easier to balance) if it just did a flat amount without dropoff when it is used as a trap like it's name suggests
I don't know how it currently works, but if it is usable in active fights, then no droppoff could be too strong or abusable.

To answer OP directly: i haven't heard of anyone regularly using decimationTrap succesfully. Imo it is an ability to ambush people cruising through chokepoints, but for that it isn't needed to level it up

Maybe thats the thing then, the trap sets off even when people are near it for less dmg. I was thinking about lag for a while too.
In theory i can set up two traps, but i need to stay alive for 5 minutes on the same spot for that to work. As a RM, its pretty hard.
Managed it once and that was on a flag with me hiding in the woods close by, the group seemed surprise but just healed up and left.
