Question about class balancing for dev's

I am just wondering if it is still being decided on whether certain classes will be altered in some way to fit in better?

Friars/Paladins/Wardens to a degree are all fine for PvE but in RvR they just aren't invited to many groups. Are these classes finished in your eyes and will not be changed, or are you still considering ideas?

Minstrel to some people is 100% fine, and to others it is 100% OP with purple pets and other abilities, is this class done and will go to live as is, or are you still considering changes here?

I am really just wondering what Phoenix will be like when it goes live as far as classes go. You have a ton of great QoL changes already a lot of us love, now I am just wondering if you are happy with classes as they sit now or if you feel changes are still needed.

You mean minstrel.

I think balance is an issue which should be addressed, not to mention realm balance since there is a custom xp change to the game based on "score"

I believe they said Minstrels wont be able to charm purple pets in the future. Also, Wardens are way buffed atm and extremely viable. Pally/Friar not so much.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Druids are the only hib class that gets GP.

If you are picking 2-3 healing types in Hib how often will Warden with PBT be picked over Druid with GP?

If Warden is still picked then take them off my list, but last I knew, no Hib groups would ever take a warden over a druid

How is warden vs an inf or sb?

SB can take a warden even with no perf. Especially when they don't have shield line

IMO Minstrels shouldn't be able to release their pets when they are mezzed themselves.

The fact that the release breaks the CC on the pet is ridiculous in and of itself, but being able to do so even when they are themselves 'sleeping' in mezz makes it simply imbalanced.

The whole pet self CC cure is something to be looked in to in general though I believe. I do recognize its seen as a feature and should remain somewhat usable in a certain way.

Removing the self demezz / deroot via pet is not up to debate, that's one of the very core features of a minstrel.

Balance changes will happen in the last beta phase, a long running i50 phase with cap gear and free rr6 -> changes can be reasonably easily tested here.

Glad to hear more about balance issue plans.

I hope that before beta ends u can do another event where its pvp rules and leave it up for testers.

Literally for testing.

It would be easier to test if you could talk to someone from another realm. Does sm pet intercept arrows? Dunno, lets check.

Or maybe the gms can leave the bg with the event up and test stuff together there or allow testers to go there and test on specific toons.

Throwing ideas out there.
