Play during DDoS

I know there are multiple forums, but non of which actually say how people are still playing consistently. If someone would be as so kind to explain to me how some of them are able to play and not crash every 15-45min of play time. I'm sure this would benefit many players who are trying to play.

I don't know how to not crash, logging in sometimes requires multiple tries.

it's probably people who already have a borderline connection that are impacted the most. I basically never had LD before, and i can play now pretty stable. Had 2LDs hours apart when the DDOS started.
A friend of mine who doesn't LD much, but always had one or two Lds per weekend is Lding every 30minutes now.

Aka. the closer your connection is to having Lds by itself, the harder it is impacted by the DDOS

Some people are saying that replacing the game.dll with one from a computer that is not LDing fixed their problems. Not sure why/how but that's all I know.

What worked for me (although I've only tried it once)

Launch the Phoenix launcher twice...
Attempt to login both instances of the launcher..
Two attempts to login will happen..
1 will end in with the "hit esc" message, the other logs in successfully

I make no claim this will work for you...might have just been coincidence, but it did work for me when I tried...

Isn't that what the new proxy options on the launcher are for? To break up the entry points into the server? I had the issue once, but then picked one of the proxies and played just fine all morning.

Thank you for all the input. The proxy servers that are now provided fixed my issue.
