Pets incredibly tanky?

I shot a blue cabby pet, crit shot did 295 and my normal shot did 147. I have 50 + 14 recurve bow and I had dex qui charge up. Why would my damage be so pitiful against a blue pet? This does not seem correct at all, anyone can clue me in? Thanks

maybe it was a spirit cab.

If it was full spirit that is all the cab gets basically, a tough pet.

Con buffed on pets increase their melee damage absorb and this will not change the con color of the pet. If he had high con/str self buff from the pet buff line or had cleric buffs this would explain this.

Also, lots of Cabbies in RvR are going to be spirit for the 50% body debuff. A tough pet is just a bonus.
