Options for French Client?

Is a french language patch possible with a lot of work?
Could the community get a list of all possible text and translate it one by one to get a french variant?
Could some parts of the game be translated first to test and see if the playerbase adopts it or not? (UI, ROGs, Titles, for example)

I think a lot of the DAoC flavor was also in the way the game were translated. The french version was really good!
We miss it!

I'm not sure if they can do anything client side. It was a long time ago that I played on GOA servers, but I seem to remember that the language packs were server side and each can only have one.

No. Daoc is one of the few games that are using server provided text as is, obvious exception being ui buttons / graphics and less obvious some hard coded descriptions for the abilities (e. g. the reason for the charge description compared to how it actually works).
