This question is for the devs or anybody who knows what the formula on what determines a miss. On my aug healer I fought a reaver and I had a miss rate of 28% with around 800 weaponskill. I was just curious if there's anything I can do to make the miss rate less severe, thanks!
Base miss chance is 18% - if fighting an equal leveled opponent.
This is reduced by 0.05% per spec point into the respective weapon line (composite). If using an advanced weapon line (DW / CD / LA / CS), then the higher of both (main weapon line or dual line) is used for calculation.
Higher than 18% miss is the result of a character/target level difference and armor/weapon bonus% difference.
Melees can get the miss rate down to <5% with weapon styles (to-hit bonus).
So... if you hit with a weapon that got 25% bonus on an enemy that has 35% bonus on the armor part that was hit, then you got your 28% flat miss rate.
